Today I thought I’d show you guys what’s in Maddie’s closet. She truly has some of the CUTEST clothes! A lot I’ve picked up here & there from various local thrift stores. I’m also a big believer in the “this is too cute to pass up, she’ll grow into it” thing. I bought her the cutest pair of flats from Goodwill the other day that I know will be too big for her until next year at least! I grabbed up a pair of $.49 sandals from Old Navy a few months back for her to wear this upcoming summer! I’m a thrifty shopper and I am A-OKAY with it! She is too because it means she gets more clothes & accessories than what she would if I paid full price for them!
The only difference is, I picked up a lot of these for a lot cheaper than here, a few colors are different – her furry boots are black. Her belts are silver sparkly, blue and a rainbow patterned, and she has a ton of tights & leggings (but I didn’t find it necessary to link them ALL here).
It’s not super difficult to put together a wardrobe for a growing girl.
Just stick with a few essentials: Tights, leggings, pants, every day shirts and a few dresses.
Throw in key pieces: A nice sweater, a fancy pair of jeans, cute flats.
Mix & match! Pair the dresses with some leggings one day, tights the next.
The fancy jeans with an every day shirt, the nicer sweater with normal jeans, etc etc.
Grab stuff on sale if it’s to good to pass up! Seriously, how could I say no to FORTY NINE cents for a pair of sandals?!
Even her leopard loafers I got on sale for $7! That’s what I’d spend at Starbucks for crying out load! I can skip Starbucks for a day to get a pair of cute shoes that Maddie will wear a bajillion times!
