Remember the other day when I talked about how I had a few secrets that I’d eventually get to sharing with you guys? Well, today I’m sharing one of them!
If you remember back in January we lost our sweet Sadie bug. After that I honestly didn’t want another dog. The idea of even getting another one just hurt, it broke my heart. The kids still randomly ask me when she’s coming back from hunting. Owen mostly, I think Fin & Maddie realized that she’s not coming back. Anyway, fast forward 6 months to our Oklahoma visit.
David’s dad works for the town as well as manages the pound. He came home one day talking about how if he happened to pick up another dog that he’d be taking one off the vet come Monday to be put down. David & I spur of the moment decided to go out with him to feed the dogs out there and check up on them and just fell in love with this sweet girl. She’d been in there long enough for someone to come claim her & nobody had. So she was technically up for adoption at this point, but she would be the one to end up going to the vet if he were to pick up another dog. We went home and talked about it for a bit and quickly decided we needed her in our lives.David & his dad went back down there and brought her home. The very next day, he got a phone call about 2 stray dogs! Talk about meant to be, huh?!
Isn’t she just cute?! The vet says she’s a mini American Bulldog mix! Bo’s an American bulldog, so I feel like this was completely meant to be!
Bo loves her! The kids love her! She’s just a pup still! She’s barely 12 weeks old, just a baby still! She’s potty training well so far & we’re crate training her and we just adore that little face! The first few days she was here, she was timid, shy, and would just kind of hide from us. She wouldn’t bark at anything or even really play. She quickly came around and now wrestles with Bo & Mr Crowley (our cat). She whines & moans! She barks like a little puppy, especially when she hears Bo start barking! It’s hilarious watching her try to keep up with big ole Bo! We think she’s gonna just fit right in with our crazy bunch!
