It’s the kids’ spring break! Hooray, right?! Well let me just break down our week for you.
Monday we went to the zoo.
Tuesday we stayed outside working on some landscaping in the backyard. We had a picnic outback. I even got sunburnt.
Wednesday we woke up to a blizzard. An actual blizzard. Stuck indoors, too windy to even play in it, shutting down the interstate that’s a mile north of us. Intense.
Thursday we found an indoor bounce house that’s not ridiculously overpriced. Yay! We spent three hours there before all three kids were just exhausted and ready to go home.
I’m not quite sure what we’re doing yet today, but I’m sure it’ll be something outdoors since the sun is actually shining and they’re predicting snow again this weekend for us.
Colorado weather is CRAZY!
Anyway, I took my “big girl” camera to the zoo and got in a few quick pics before I handed it over to Fin and let him be the photographer for the day.
We paid $5 for two things of lettuce. I handed one to David and I held one. We each took turns passing them to the kids to feed the giraffes. Next thing I know, one hungry giraffe came up and stole the entire handful of lettuce I was holding from my hand. What a stinker, right?! We all got a GOOD laugh out of it though. And a good story to tell.
This is where the Fin photos start. They’re pretty good, really. He took quite a few blurry ones trying to get the hang of taking a picture, but he was super proud of the good ones he got. The meerkat, the turkey, and the peacock were his favorite three.
