How many times a day do you say, “No snack! It’s almost dinner time!” only to get that followed up by a cajillion billion more questions about what’s for dinner, how long til dinner, just one snack, etc etc?!
Yup… me too.
I saw a picture online once about how the average 4 year old asks like so many questions a day and laughed at it and then realized it’s TOTALLY true.
Let me see if I can find that picture for you…..
Except it’s not just 4 year olds, man! Maddie’s 5 and the questions are just nonstop. And ridiculous!
Fin’s 6 and it’s the same! They’re nuts, I tell ya.
The other day, Fin was asking about snacks and wanting to eat another snack before dinner (it was half an hour til dinner time). If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen this… if not, you probably should go ahead and do that already. *wink*
And then we RESET the timer and did another 5 minutes of solid homework –uninterrupted and he managed to do it all! 10 minutes, flat! ALL IT TOOK WAS SOME FOCUS! DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO GET A CHILD -this child- TO SIT STILL AND FOCUS?! Homework time usually takes FOREVER.
There’s no real point to this post, AT ALL. I just wanted to ramble for a minute, so thanks for letting me ramble! 🙂
