Every year when we get ready for the Holidays, we factor in teachers too and get them little gifts. Usually it is pretty easy to pick and choose gifts for the teachers because I’ve had all year to get to know them, or I knew them before but since we are still fairly new to Colorado, and the kids ride the bus to and from school, I really just do not know very much at all about their teachers which made gift getting just a bit more difficult than it usually is.
Keeping that in mind, I decided to share one of the gifts with you guys and hopefully it will help you with your shopping too!
The other day, we loaded up the kids and headed off to Walmart to pick out gifts for their teachers and their annual ornaments. Knowing how great Hallmark cards are, we stopped by their display first to see what kind of cards we could find.
Fin picked out one for his teacher that he though was funny.
Maddie picked out one for her teacher that was nice and thoughtful.
Owen picked out one with Santa on it because he’s four and is obsessed with Santa.
I then took Owen’s card and made a little gift bag out of it for his Preschool teacher.
I grabbed up:
A Card Owen picked a cute little Santa one.
An apple scented candle (because it’s for a teacher)
A wooden frame (or whatever frame matches the card you picked).
An Ornament- we went with a Snowman that has the year on it.
Have your kiddo “sign” the card.
Place some tissue paper on top of the gift, tuck the card inside.
Now just pass it off to whoever you made it for and call that a wrap! (haha, a wrap! See what I did there?!)
Notice his line of Ws. Haha. He’s got the O down-pat, but can never remember when to stop when writing his W. It cracks me up, but it’s just so darn cute. He was so excited to get to fill out Miss S’s card and can’t wait to give her the gift we put together for her.
Pretty simple huh? It’s nothing too fancy, but it’s easy and it’s something that anyone will love. It’s the perfect gift for someone that you just really don’t know.
Who are you shopping for still?
