In the past few months, it seems like just about everybody that I know is having a baby. PREGNANT PEOPLE, EVERYWHERE! It’s nuts really. And if I’m being super totally honest, it kind of gets a little pricey! Phew. I’ve decided to take on more of the DIY side of baby gifts rather than store bought because of it. I love love love spoiling the babies in my life, but I really hate how much I end up spending.
So on that, note today I’m going to share with you this cute little gift I put together for a certain someone (I’m just not sure if they’re announcing or not, so I’ll keep it on the down low).
What’s cuter than a personalized ABC book? Nothing! That’s the right answer.
Once I know a baby name, I plan to go back and write it in, “NAME’s ABC book”.
To get started, you’ll need:
A canvas book
See, we’re already off to an easy start, huh?!
Fit your stencils on the page. I managed to squeeze in two per page
Color and move on to the next page.
Continue until you are done, then reassemble.
How great is this?! Isn’t is just adorable? And it’s seriously like 1/4 the cost of a normal ABC book.
I picked up some out of season baby clothes that were on sale, some bibs, and I splurged and spent $0.25 on a pair of Halloween baby shoes that will time out perfectly with this new little bundle of joy. Sales exist, guys!
I needed a break during the book making, so I headed to Sam’s Club to pick up some things we needed because life is so much easier when I buy in bulk. Sam’s club is one of my favorite places to shop! With a big ole family like ours, stocking up is always a good idea (Until I run out of room to store it all). I needed to make a trip anyway, and I remembered that when my kids were younger I always bought diapers from Sam’s Club, so I made sure to grab some while I was there. Sam’s Club has an Ibotta offer going on right now — $7 off Huggies Snug & Dry at Sam’s Club, so be sure to take full advantage of that when you go! And, members save over $10 on their Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers. These diapers also provide 12 hour protection, and keeps your baby’s skin dry! Sam’s Club also now offers a pick up service! Isn’t that neat? Read more about that here.
I picked up some Huggies Snug & Dry (using the Ibotta offer) and headed home to finish up this baby book. I think it’s going to be a well loved gift. What do you think?
