We started Friday off by heading to Owen’s preschool for a Super Bowl party. It was cute. Chicken, fries, little games. He was so glad that David and I BOTH got to go.
There’s a lot of other stuff from Friday that I just don’t want to get into. It was like awkward day or something. Seriously. It was “Let’s put Amber into ALL of the awkward situations we can muster up” to include a preschool Mom asking me if I was pregnant because she is, her kid mentioned it… Owen mentioned that his mom had a baby in her belly. So not only did I get to have an awesome conversation (sarcasm) with that preschool Mom, but with Owen too. He says, “Mom had a baby in her belly but it didn’t come out” So he gets the general concept, but now I just wonder how many other preschool Moms think that and how many other times am I going to get to have that conversation again?!
Friday night is pizza night. Homemade pizza will always be THE BEST pizza.
Friday once we picked Owen up from preschool, he was trying to tell us about his voice cracking and squeaking but could barely get through it for losing his voice.
Friday is also the day that Maddie brought home a fish. Well, we stopped by the school to pick it up for her so it wouldn’t have to ride the bus home. Her class grew fish and now it was time to pass them on and out. So we grabbed one. Fred the fish.
That one fish however quickly turned into FOUR. We have FOUR fish now. David took Maddie to Walmart on Saturday to get some rocks and a tree for Fred. Some elderly lady handed Maddie $5 towards fish purchases, so now we have Nemo, Dory, and Marlin too.
David & I bathed the dogs. They needed it. They were SO dirty. Our backyard has been a muddy mess & they love that.
Saturday was also spent being super lazy because poor Owen was running a fever and just looked miserable.
On Sunday I printed off some coloring pages for the kids (I’ll be sharing some cute printables on the blog later this week) and once it warmed up, we headed to the park. We thought some fresh air would/could do us all some good. We didn’t stay too long though, but it was nice to get out of the house.
Side note, on the walk back home, I had a scooter, 3 cups of water, a stuffed monkey, and my phone all in my hands. Make sense of that nonsense.
I hope you guys had a nice weekend.
Here’s to Monday! Let’s kick this week’s butt!
