Hi, friends!! Happy Monday! Are you guys excited? It’s THANKSGIVING WEEK! Woooo! I’m excited! I love Thanksgiving. I love all the food! I love all of the leftovers and the idea of just living on leftovers for 2/3 days makes me really happy because I’ll be so busy catching up on dishes, that I won’t want to cook. At all. Do you have a favorite way to eat Thanksgiving leftovers? I love to make turkey sandwiches with mine.
Anyway, since it’s Monday I thought I’d give a bit of a weekend (and Friday) recap. Let’s start with Friday.
On Friday parents were invited to join the preschool class for Stone soup. It was adorable. The kids got to help cut up the vegetables, we ate, they sang us a song about making stone soup, and then we spent the remainder of the preschool day just playing. Owen and I opted for the LEGO table. That choice didn’t surprise me at all. I have LEGO obsessed boys.
Snapchat filters are ridiculous and hilarious. The kids love seeing all of the new filters and being goofballs on camera.
On Saturday we loaded up and headed to Red Rock Open Space for a mini family hike. It was a beautiful day. We knew it was probably one of the last nice days we’d have for a while (COME ON, SNOW!!) so we tried to take advantage of it while we could.
I love the kids’ sense of adventure. They have no problem scooting down hills and climbing up rocks. They live for that stuff! Even Mr Fin who is usually afraid of things like that enjoyed himself.
Sunday was nothing fancy. We took the kids to the park for a bit, they played video games for a bit. David napped. I got some work online done. They played. At one point they asked to borrow my phone to take a picture of Waddles. (Waddles the penguin). Kids are weird, guys. Kids are weird.
Now, I’ts 6am on Monday morning. I’ve been up for an hour because I just no longer sleep like a normal person. David’s at work. The kids are still sleeping. They have NO school ALL week, so wish me luck!
I hope you guys had a nice weekend.
