Our weekend was finally full of some snow! Hooray! Except it was also REALLY cold. I felt like we were back in Alaska experiencing some negative 20 degree weather. On Saturday once it warmed up a smidge, David forced family fun on us (and by us, I mean me) and took the kids out to sled. While Maddie & Owen played, Fin chose to shovel and earn some money. He did a pretty decent job too. I was impressed.
On Sunday we woke up and took the kids out shopping so that they could buy their secret santa gifts. We let them draw names every year. They were SO excited! They picked some really great things for each other too. Maddie even spent an extra couple of dollars to buy the boys some candy to eat later that day.
We also attempted to make a Gingerbread train. I say “attempted” because we couldn’t get the darn thing to stick together & stand up. Owen had more fun eating his decorations than anything. Seriously, his train pieces had like no candy on them. Little sugar fiend.
At some point we also did cocoa, a fire, and a movie. It was nice to just have a lazy weekend.
How was yours?
