Hi friends! Hi! I hope you’re doing well. It’s early, I’m sleepy, but that’s nothing new. I have 3 kids, that’s like my permanent state of brain now. Anyway, with the book reviews I’ve been sharing, I thought I’d put together a quick post of what I’ve been reading lately. Please let me know if you’ve read them and what your thoughts were. Also, I’m trying to keep my Goodreads account active & up to date, so find me over there if you’d like.
I start every new year with a “I want to read more books” resolution. I love to read, but I seriously get so caught up in life that I forget how nice it is to just sit and read a book. I’ve plowed through SO many over the past few weeks that I’ve forgotten which was which. And I’ve been on a big Liane Moriarty kick.
Let’s start with the last one I finished….
Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty
I really liked this one. I’ll admit that it took me a bit to get into it, but once I finally did and could keep track of who was who, I really enjoyed it. While I’m not a triplet like the Kettle sisters, I did grow up with sisters so a lot of their arguments and chats just had me laughing. I’d definitely recommend this one. It was more of a fun read. Less dramatic than most of her other books.
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
Oh goodness, this one was a doozy! I finished this one before I started Three Wishes and I still dwell on it. So much happens, it’s so crazy, full of drama and secrets. It sucked me right in. I definitely recommend this one too. Actually, I recommend it the most. I still dwell on it! I also just saw that they’re turning it into an HBO special starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. If you choose to read any of these books that I’m discussing today, it NEEDS to be this one.
The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
This one made me cry… a lot. I didn’t even see the little twist coming and I love books like that. Usually I’m pretty good at figuring out what’s about to happen, but this threw me for a loop. I’d forgotten all about even reading it until I was trying to find another book to tell you guys about. This was a good one as well. Definitely recommend it.
The Hypnotist’s Love Story by Liane Moriarty
This would be the 2nd book you should read right after Big Little Lies. This one involves stalkers, hypnotherapy, and widows. Killed me. It’s a good one. I dwelled on this one for a while after finishing it up.
Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
I almost forgot about this one. Good read. Very dramatic, but not as OMG dramatic as some of her others.
Overall, I recommend you read all of the above.
Also on my to-read list is:
I’m 5 chapters in this one and can already tell it’s going to be a good one.
And I have this one loaded up & ready to be read next. I’ll keep you posted on how I feel about these last two.
Overall, if you take anything from this post… it should be that you need to read whatever Liane Moriarty is writing.
