Thank you Bush’s beans for sponsoring today’s post. As usual, all opinions and thoughts are my own. 🙂
It was a cold and gloomy afternoon…. school pick up had taken longer than normal, I was already a bit on edge, grumpy and just worn out… these are the days that the idea of making dinner just drains me.
I’m usually pretty good about meal-planning and being prepared, but that’s just gone out the window lately as our life schedule changes up. I keep a few things on hand for days like that, for easy, fool-proof meals that I know won’t break the bank, my family will eat and enjoy, and it’ll feed all of us. Bush’s beans is a staple in this house. They’re just so handy for all the things.
On this particular night, I was thankful to find some Bush’s Chili beans as well as some Bush’s kidney beans. This particular night was perfect for Chili and cornbread. Chili is just such a quick and easy thing to make. Keeping Bush’s beans on hand is just a smart choice for all seasons. Do you remember the simple bean salad I made over the summer? Once again, because I had Bush’s beans on hand. STAPLE ITEM!!
If you haven’t tried Bush’s Chili beans yet, I highly recommend you grab some next time you’re at Walmart. Also, you should totally try some sausage in your chili. We usually use ground turkey and some ground sausage mixed together. I suggest trying that as well.
What do you top your bowl of chili with?
