Having a child with sensitive skin makes laundry day a bit of a nightmare! I’m constantly trying to make sure Fin’s clothes are separate from the rest of ours, and making sure I don’t buy him the wrong product. He breaks out in these crazy rashes that just itch like crazy, are warm to the touch, and are just from head to toe! Last time it happened, we took him to the ER because we had no idea what even caused it! It was crazy! Then poor guy came home with a bajillion different meds and I don’t know if it cleared up on it’s own, or if the medicine actually helped, because two days after he started taking the medicine, it like flared up even worse than before. Now that I’ve discovered all® free clear detergent, (it’s the #1 Recommended brand by Dermatologists, Allergists, and Pediatricians) I don’t have to stress about whether or not something of Fin’s has ended up in with the rest of the clothes. It’s so nice to not stress about that. Let me share with you some other ways to not stress about laundry!
Get a magnetic dry erase marker and put it somewhere on your washer/dryer. Use it to write on your washer/dryer “this need to air dry” or “This shirt – donate”, etc etc. Great for remembering things! I know I was horrible about letting donation items get added right back into wardrobes before I started using this handy little tip.
Also, keep a bag or box near your washer/dryer for those donation clothes. I do this so that clothes don’t accidentally end up back in a clean pile ready to be put away, etc etc.
And, since we’re a bit recycling family, I hate to waste a perfectly good container, so today I’m showing you how simply you can create a bubble station and let your kids play unstructured, let them figure things out on their own, with a little guidance of course. But this is a great way to let them be free to be! Free to be adventurous, and form their own identities without stressing about them ruining their clothes.
To make one for yourself, you’ll just need: Bubbles, an empty all® free clear detergent bottle, little plastic cups, bubble wands, and a storage container.
Decorate your container, fill it with bubbles.
See how easy it is to fill the bubble cups? No fuss, no mess!
Now whenever they want to blow bubbles, they go out back, get the orange bubble bucket and go to town! They love that they can manage it all without my help.
My kids are free to be adventurous, muddy, messy, dirty, and wet and that’s all OK in my book because all® free clear detergent delivers a powerful clean! it’s 100% free of dyes and perfumes and it removes 99% of everyday and seasonal allergens from cat and dog dander, dust mite matter, grass, tree pollen, and ragweed.
I love that all® free clear is hypoallergenic and clinically proven to be gentle on the skin. It makes life simpler, encouraging me to live more and worry less about my son’s sensitive skin. Please remember that all® free clear detergent isn’t intended to treat or prevent allergies!
I bought mine from Sam’s club, because with a family our size, it’s best for us to bulk shop! Make sure you follow the directions for use on the packaging though, we don’t want to over use the detergent by putting too much product in one load!
My kids are simply free to be well…. kids!
