And by Happy Monday, I mean bah humbug Monday! (even though it’s been a fairly decent day) I did not want to get out of bed this morning! In fact we were almost late because I didn’t wanna get out of bed. Thankfully David came home after PT and was able to stay with Owen so I didn’t have to wake him to take Fin & Maddie to school. Anyway, after I dropped the kids off, I came home to get Owen (who David had already fed and dressed-love that man!) to head to the hospital to talk to anesthesiology and outpatient care to see what time we need to check in tomorrow for his circumcision. (see, I’ve been a busy busy lady and always forget to update you guys on our life) When Owen was born his foreskin was too short for his pediatrician’s liking so she referred us to a urologist who swore he’d grown into it (even though we told him Fin had the SAME issue when he was born and ended up
getting circumcised when he was 2) so he told us to come back when Owen was 6 months old….. 4 rescheduled appointments later (on his end) he finally called me to tell me he was closing his practice in town and that’s when I told him we were PCS’ing anyway and didn’t need him. (only in a nicer form, I’m have no rude bone in my body) So we PCS’d (moved in Army language) and got all set up with a new pediatricion. She put in his referral, an appt was made. His appointment was Nov 29th, the urologist had an opening for Tuesday the 4th, bada bing, bada boom, Owen’s getting circumcised in the morning. Yikes. I’m sadly completely prepared for this after Maddie’s dental work and after Owen’s MRI. And the time David had to fly to Anchorage with Fin to get circumcised and to have 2 hernias removed and a testicle pulled down after only really being with Fin for a few months thanks to deployment. (Preblog days) So yea. Life man. Mommyhood. It’s exhausting. And really heartbreaking.
